SY Shaima skipper and owner Alberto Duhau (left) is a lifelong and passionate sailor and skipper with 40,000 miles under his keels. He started sailing at 12 and skippering at 19 years of age in his dad’s 35 foot yawl in Argentina, he then sailed the Caribbean for 20 years in his Morgan 37 that was succeeded by a Benetau 43. He was boat less but chartering frequently during a few years before he received his custom built dream boat Shaima, a Hylas 63 in 2017. An avid world traveler having visited 80 countries he is currently roaming and exploring the world from the sea in unusual ways. SAIL Executive Editor Adam Cort (right) has been sailing his entire life aboard everything from El Toro dinghies to Maxi-racers in the Caribbean. Growing up in the Midwest, he also worked for a number of years as a merchant sailor on the Great Lakes. He is the author of two books, Getting Started in Sailboat Racing and The Blue Book of Sailing, and is now based in Boston, Massachusetts.
