First in the US (West coast)
Another milestone first for Hylas at a time we could all use some good news. We wanted to share the arrival of the first Bill Dixon designed Hylas H57 in the US with our boat show going fans at the Pacific Sail & Power Shower, San Francisco, April 2020. The show has necessarily been cancelled. This just means the suspense continues. The first hull to arrive in the US came into Los Angeles in March and will be home based in San Francisco. We continue to respect all official “social distancing” mandates so we will soon be set up to offer virtual tours. We love talking yachts and would be delighted to show you around.
Another Bill Dixon design that is keeping the factory in full swing is the H48. The bright spacious interior, ease of handling and classic Hylas lines have made her popular. We did find a home for the “show boat” and the owners of the next two hulls are already committed. The good news is they are all willing to share their yachts and “build experience” with folks that want to learn more.
Recognized as one of the more “spritely” Hylas models. Pun intended if you are familiar with the Hylas of Greek Mythology. There are many that have sailed around the world at least once and others multiple times. The next of this classic German Frers design is due into the US in early 2021.
The New Zealand market has their share of production time. An M44 has just shipped to NZ. The next Salthouse designed M49 will follow shortly. Once the M49 is complete we will be busy with an M44 coming into the US for early 2021.
These power yachts are easy to handle, fuel efficient and offer a perfect entertaining platform. The Hylas yard is very much a “semi custom” builder so we pay close attention to quality, service and the wishes of our clients. This is as true in our power yachts as it is in our sail yachts.
