 The new flagship Hylas 66 is the latest design from German Frers and is built either as a pilot house version or a flush deck version. Each boat can be individually designed but the basic design offers two luxurious guest cabins with ensuite facilities, a superb owner’s cabin and crews quarters. The galley and saloon and beautifully appointed to the owner’s design and style and the pilot house version has a magnificent upper deck with all-round vision. The cockpit is huge with ample room for a guests and a separate entrance for the crew. The deck is wide and safe and the rigging is extremely sporty, giving the Hylas 66 exceptional performance with a very slippery hull. The first Hylas 66 in Europe was launched in the UK this summer and is currently sailing in the ARC rally 2005. She is the second Hylas 66 to be built in the world and has been semi-custom built to the owner's requirements. The yard was asked to build a very modern interior- a departure from their normal high quality teak work - and have done a magnificent job using very different materials and concepts.
