The
Hylas 54 is available in two versions: the standard low profile
coach roof and the raised saloon version. When launched in 1998, she was
the winner of Cruising World Magazine Boat of the Year for full size
cruiser. Her hull shape and construction make her so slippery that she
easily attains 200 miles a day while cruising. The Twaron incorporated
into the hull gives her twice the strength of a standard hull with the
perfect balance between strength and weight giving outstanding
performance.
Designed by German Frers, the
slippery hull, the watertight bulkheads, the safe cockpit with great
visibility, wide decks and ease of handling make her the ideal offshore
passage maker.
The interior includes a huge galley,
two guest cabins, a sumptuous saloon and a superb aft cabin created by
the generous beam which is carried all the way aft. The interior is
exceptionally light with good ventilation and the teak interior is hand
crafted to the highest quality.
On all our boats we insist that all
the services are easily accessed and labelled – such practical measures
are a hallmark of Hylas yachts and helped the Hylas 54 be a runaway
winner of Boat of the Year.

A quote from Alasdair Reay of CE Proof Ltd
"All the Hylas models with which I have been
involved with have proven themselves to be very well designed and
constructed. The structural design of the craft, the 54 in particular,
was found to be extremely well optimised with respect to strength v
weight."
