The Hylas 49 bears the unmistakable
hallmark of the renowned yacht designers, Sparkman and Stephens with her
sheer and elongated lines. She was extremely well received at the
Southampton Boat Show in September 2004 where she was exhibited for the
first time in Europe. Many appreciated the beautiful, traditional lines
which made her stand out as a thoroughbred.
Easily handled by two, with all the
latest equipment on board, she is a superb example just how well the
Queen Long Marine yard can customise and build a bluewater cruiser ready
to sail anywhere in the world. There are three double cabins, a
fully-equipped galley and on deck the cockpit is deep and secure with
perfect visibility for the helmsman.
There are over fifty Hylas 49s
sailing around the world, each a testament to her abilities as an
offshore performance yacht.

"The Sparkman & Stephens designed Hylas 49 is not a new boat but the
show was the first opportunity to see one in Europe.
Down below is a beautifully executed interior, with an outstanding level
of finish and attention to detail. A peek behind the instrument panel
at the chart table revealed superyacht levels of workmanship. She was
equally impressive on deck".
